Marc A. Chorney's practice focuses on estate planning, taxation, estate administration and planning for closely held businesses. His practice includes the preparation of wills, trusts and other devices which may be employed for the purpose of wealth preservation and tax savings. In conjunction with his estate planning practice, Mr. Chorney also works in the area of estate and trust administration, which includes the preparation of estate tax returns. Mr. Chorney's practice encompasses income tax matters typically related to a trust and estates practice, as well as buy-sell agreements and marital agreements.
Mr. Chorney serves as an expert witness in litigated matters concerning trust and estate issues. He has on numerous occasions served as a consulting expert and a testifying expert in divorce property divisions involving trust issues. He as also written extensively on that topic.
Mr. Chorney has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver College of Law and the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program. He has also served as the Chief Editor of the American College of Trust and Estate’s Counsel’s ACTEC Law Journal.
